cooking : pulled pork sandwich

This is probably one of the easiest meals I have ever made. It doesn't take any effort, and you come out looking better than Rachel Ray. It feeds over 10 people, with only 5 ingredients. And of course, its delicious. 

Sounds too good to be true right? 


Crock pot Pulled Pork Sandwich


1 - pork shoulder
1 - can/bottle of Dr. Pepper or Root beer
1 - dozen buns
8-10oz coleslaw
1 - bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce (we use Everett and Jones BBQ sauce)

1. Put the pork shoulder in the crock pot and pour the bottle of soda.
2. Set it on low for 7 hours.
3. Drain the juice, shred the meat, and mix in the bbq sauce.

That's it! We like to put the coleslaw on the bun...it gives it a nice crunchy texture. Blee LOVES it!

Like I said, it's super easy, and it's perfect for the summer. I usually put the meat in my crock pot in the morning and forget about it till dinner. For sides, you can add beans, corn or fruit.
