suicidal buffalo chicken dip

One of Jimmy's co-workers is from good 'ole Buffalo, New York, home of the original buffalo wings. Last Christmas he gave us a bottle of buffalo hot sauce and it's been staring at me every time I open our kitchen cabinet.

I finally got the courage to open the suicidal hot sauce to make a buffalo chicken dip.

I got the recipe here, but changed it up a bit.

3 cups cooked shredded chicken breast
1/2 cup hot sauce
1 pkg (8oz) cream cheese
8 oz Ranch Dressing
1 1/2 cup shredded cheese
1 bag tortilla chips

1. Put the chicken in a casserole dish and press down.
2. Pour the hot sauce over the chicken.
3. Mix the cream cheese and the dressing. Pour over the sauce.
4. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
5. Sprinkle the cheese and bake for 5 more minutes, or until the cheese is melted.

The verdict? Waaaayyyy too freaking spicy! I should have known. Even with the cream cheese and the chips, I was dying. No joke. Totally suicidal.

The recipe was super easy to make though. I think I'll try it again with not-too-spicy sauce or use BBQ sauce.

Now I'm off to eat some chocolate chip cookies...
