Jimmy and Blee have been reading the Adventures of Tom Sawyer for some time. It’s been 2 months, to be exact. I don’t even know why we have this book, or why Jimmy started reading this to Blee at bedtime, but for some reason, it has been the book of choice.

There were several nights when Jimmy was at a meeting, or out doing something, and I was in charge of putting Blee to bed. I tried reading Tom Sawyer, but I was never as successful as when Jimmy read to him. They look so comfortable and content.

Well, tomorrow starts Advent. The time of year when we prepare for the coming of our Savior, Jesus. I don’t really know how much Blee understands the meaning of Christmas, but we are going to do our best and try.

For this very reason, Jimmy finished Tom Sawyer last night. So he could read the Christmas story to our son...every night.

Bye-bye Tom Sawyer…here comes the Christmas story!

Most of these books are from Jimmy's childhood. I am so thankful that his parents kept these. I pray that one day, Blee is able to enjoy and understand the true meaning of Christmas.
